Long Lake

Long lake is a beautiful, highly desirable lake, located in Long Lake and Green Lake Townships. Adjoining Long Lake are two smaller lakes, Mikey and RuthLakes. The Long Lake Watershed is comprised of 2,860 acres of lake surface and 11,596 acres of land that drain into the lake – a total watershed of 14,456 acres. No major inlets flow into Long lake, it is predominantly spring-fed. Sucker Creek at its South end flows to Lake Dubonnet, then onto Lake Ann and the Platte Lakes. Lake Michigan is Long Lake’s final repository. Long Lake contains picturesque islands which include: Picnic Island, Long Island, Fox Island and South Island.
